David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt are being charged with using “manufactured identities and a fictitious bioresearch company to meet women’s healthcare providers and covertly record the private discussions they initiated.” This according to the Attorney General of California.
Two words: Investigative Journalism.
These pivotal videos have already survived legal scrutiny in Texas, and California’s charges have even bigger implication on journalism-at-large. Daleiden tweeted out that “The last time @PPact [Planned Parenthood Action] colluded with political cronies to persecute citizen journalists, both charges AND corrupt DA thrown out! BRING IT ON!!”
Planned Parenthood, of course, chimed in, stating that the charges send “a clear message that you cannot target women and you cannot target health care providers without consequences. Planned Parenthood has done nothing wrong . . . .”
Nothing, except, kill nearly 8 million children and strategically and politically work to keep women misinformed.
