Newly appointed Justice Gorsuch could deliver immediate impact

There are several cases before the US Supreme Court where Justice Gorsuch can have an immediate impact. According to the Los Angeles Times, Justice Gorsuch “joins the Supreme Court just in time to cast potentially significant votes in cases that pit religious liberty against gay rights, test limits on funding for church schools and challenge California’s restrictions on carrying a concealed gun in public.”

One specific case is incredibly important in regards to Religious Freedom. A Colorado baker, Jack Phillips, refused to use his artistic talent to design a wedding cake for a gay couple, and Halcyon is hopeful that Jack and Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) will be victorious in protecting Jack’s right to freely live out his faith. Jeremy Tedesco, attorney at ADF, stated that he thinks “Justice Gorsuch would be with us.”
