This article, while it offers interesting information, is trying to paint a “crisis of access” by talking poorly about pro-life advocates and explaining how many laws have stifled the abortion business in Kentucky. Read another way: pro-life advocates are winning in Kentucky! By working together, advocates, organizations, legal groups, and the government have reduced Big Abortion in Kentucky to a single center.
According to the Guttmacher Institute, 50 laws promoting life were passed by state legislatures last year, and Kentucky law requires women to be fully informed when contemplating abortion as they are shown a picture of their living, innocent, unborn child by way of an ultrasound. There is also a ban on abortions after 20 weeks.
There is not, of course, a “crisis of access” for women’s healthcare in Kentucky. Women can go to GetYourCare.org to find women’s healthcare centers that are blanketed across the state.
