The ACLU can no longer hide its real agenda

The authors assert the ACLU “was once a nonpartisan organization focused on liberty and equality before the law,” and now it is simply Leftist. The reality is that the ACLU was always Leftist — they just do a poor job of hiding it now. And the ACLU has no problem saying one thing (critiquing progressive efforts to censor speech) and doing another (“the organization has been a quiet friend more than an active opponent of campus censorship”).

If you look at the ACLU’s history you can see that this was always their direction. The ACLU does not exist to create a free space for ideas; rather it exists to create a specific worldview.
